Calvary Baptist Christian Academy participated in the Commonwealth Service held on Sunday, March 13,2022 at the St. George’s Anglican Church at 4:00pm under the theme “The Commonwealth Delivering a Common Future Connecting, Innovating, transforming.”

“The commonwealth service is the world’s premier, inter-faith, public event to celebrate the commonwealth of Nations and provides an opportunity to focus attention on this voluntary association of 54 countries and their commitment to promoting democracy, human rights, the rule of law and equality for its 2.4 billion citizens.

The aim of the Commonwealth Service is to celebrate the unity, diversity, and linkages of the modern Commonwealth and to foster greater understanding of the Commonwealth’s achievements and role, particularly amongst its young people,” Royal Commonwealth Society.

A total of six students, one teacher and one parent were present on behalf of the school. They marched from the Cox parking lot to the St. George’s Anglican Church, where the commonwealth service took place. It lasted for an hour with the Premier delivering the message from the queen.

Along with other presentations, there were musical and dance presentations, that the students enjoyed.

It was overall a great evening.
